The image above was leaked today and is allegedly the next generation iPhone’s “motherboard”. As noted by 9to5Mac, the logicboard is missing a few key ingredients: Apple’s usual labeling and the processor. As of now, we’re still unsure what Apple is planning with regards to the processor. Since the A5X is a boosted A5 specifically designed to power the 9.7″ iPad display, it’s not likely we’ll see that in the iPhone 5. What is rumored is the “A5-2″: a suped-up version of the A5.

What you can make out in the image, right in the center is the SIM card reader. All the other various connections all look fairly average, and don’t make a lot of sense unless you know what’s going to be connected to them. Thankfully, the guys over at iFixYouri have a good understanding of iDevice internals.

They took all the leaks we’ve had so far, and managed to piece together all the other important components. You can now see where the recently leaked battery fits, as well as the new dock and headphone jacks, as well as the new volume and mute switches. If like me, you’re excited by wires, buttons and circuitry these will float your boat no end.

The question is: is there anything that hasn’t leaked yet? Perhaps the new display?
