Apple resellers told to make space for iPads in stores

According to MacRumors, Apple’s European Resellers are being told to make adjustments to their displays so as to accommodate the iPad in preparation for the release of a new device. Stores have been asked to make more room for the iPad, with some reporting a deadline of September 12, the rumored launch date of the next iPhone, and possibly the iPad mini.

Many people believe that this development points to the inevitable release of Apple’s iPad mini. Originally, the iPad mini would reportedly launch alongside the next iPhone, although these have since been dismissed. The rumor mills have been running overtime of late, almost making the release of an iPad mini a complete certainty.

We’ve already reported on the rumor that the iPad mini is about to go into production at a rate of 4 million units a month. Personally, I think that there are simply too many consistent rumors , there simply has to be an iPad mini, I can conjure up no other reasonable explanation.

Resellers have also been told to remove Mac Pros and Mac Minis from their stores, with others reporting cutbacks in iPod and accessory displays. One store reported that they had tripled the space allocated to Apple’s iPad.
