App Store Gets New Look In IOS 6 Beta [VID]

Those of you running iOS 6 beta may have noticed a difference in the App Store over the past 24 hours. Having acquired app search tool company “Chomp”, Apple’s App Store has a decidedly “Chompy” flavor upon searching for apps.

The search results page now features a grid of large rounded-square icons with a snapshot of the app, the install button and the star ratings.

There’s also a small update to the Genius recommendations tab, in that it no longer tells you that it’s not available in iOS 6. Instead, it’s centralized and now just tells you that there are no recommendations. Still not quite working, but it’s progress at least.
