WSJ: iPad Mini launch near

iPad Mini news, read all about it! This appears to be the week of the iPad Mini. Several stories have been pushing their way around the web from sources like Bloomberg and Cult of Mac. We had a story yesterday from Cult of Mac with rumors that the iPad’s younger sibling is going to launch with a Sharp IGZO display with a $249 price tag. The Wall Street Journal has a similar story.

According to the Wall Street Journal(WSJ), the upcoming iPad has been put into motion and mass production is set to begin as early as September. If true then this would line up perfectly with an announcement alongside the new iPhone in October. The Wall Street Journal had the following information on the story:

“Apple Inc.’s component suppliers in Asia are preparing for mass production in September of a tablet computer with a smaller screen than the iPad, people familiar with the situation said, suggesting a launch for the device is near. Two of the people said that the tablet’s screen will likely be smaller than eight inches.

Normally when the WSJ reports a story, it’s a pretty safe bet that it’s going to pan out. That said, the journal also predicted wrongly last year regarding the iPhone 5, and has been wrong about the Apple TV set time frame. So, who knows? Apple’s a very secretive company, and you can be sure that it won’t be spilling any beans to anyone yet.

Would you guys be interested in an iPad Mini if it came to market? Or does it not make sense to you? Comment down below and let us know

I'd definitely be interested in an iPad I could afford. I don't care about how good the screen is.
