OS X Mountain Lion: “Most Successful OS X Release In Apple’s History”

This morning, Apple announced that OS X Mountain Lion had been downloaded 3 million times in the past four days. That’s about 750,000 copies each day, 31,250 each hour, 521 copies each minute, or 8 copies every second. Talk about a lot of cats.

Mountain Lion is the 9th major release of OS X, and is distributed in a download-only fashion from the Mac App Store for a measly $20.

Our very own Jake Rosati did a hands-on video with Apple’s latest operating system, showing off some of the major features.
