OS X Mountain Lion is coming tomorrow, July 25th
OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is almost here. Earlier last month at WWDC ’12, Apple announced that the newest iteration of it’s OS X software would be coming “this July.” Well, it’s July, and seeing as this is the last week, Apple went ahead and made the announcement that OS X 10.8 will be available via the Mac App Store on July 25th, this Wednesday.
The announcement was made during Apple’s Q3 earnings call today by CEO Tm Cook and falls in line with rumors from earlier this week. The download will cost $19.99, or if you bought a Mac after June 11th you are eligible for the free upgrades we talked about yesterday. The quote from Mr. Cook is below:
We’ve also just updated the entire MacBook line, will release Mountain Lion tomorrow and will be launching iOS 6 this Fall. We are also really looking forward to the amazing new products we’ve got in the pipeline.
The new operating system will bring many improvements, especially in the iOS to desktop syncing area.
What do you think? Ready for Mountain Lion? Ready to see how it works with iOS 6? Let us know in the comments.
