Apple to hold earnings call on July 24

For those who are even remotely interested in the stock market or Apple stock in particular, you will be very happy come July 24. Apple just announced via their investor relation page that they will conduct a quarterly earnings call to discuss all things money on the 24th of this month. With Apple being the largest publicly traded company, their sales have a huge impact on the US and global economies alike. Usually, Apple exceeds expectations and breaks company records for most profitable quarter, excluding holiday quarters, of course.

Here’s what’s probably going to happen: Tim Cook and Peter Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer being the Chief Financial Officer, will lead the call and announce a new, record breaking non-holiday quarter. They’ll announce that they sold a bajillion Macs, iPhones, iPads, and iPods; and point out that the iPod is losing sales due to the iPhone. Then they’ll point out that cannibalization is not a bad thing, and say that their revenue stream is off the charts. Of course, Apple could have a dud quarter on its hands, but that’s highly unlikely.

The call will start at 2pm on July 24.
