Apple and Google bid for Kodak patents
Let the games begin! The patent games that is…
Kodak is bankrupt, which means their intellectual property is now for sale. The camera has been an integral part of smartphone design for many years now, and so its no surprise that the worlds biggest smartphone manufacturers are gearing up to grab some handy patents that could see some big improvements to the cameras in our smartphones.

Some rather shady sources have alluded to the current situation, with Google and Apple apparently the front runners for the bidding. According to the source, Apple have teamed up with Microsoft and Intellectual Ventures Management LLC to form one bidding group. This triumvirate is up against Google, RPX Corp and 3 hardware companies that make Android phones.
What improvements would you like to see made to smartphone imaging? Be it hardware capabilities, photo gallery management, or anything else. Leave your comments below!
It's truly a Kodak moment. Or should that be, shudders a AppleSoft moment. tiny.cc/SimplyApple
