Apple adds “Food & Drink” category to App Store
There’s always been that awkward folder on our home screen. The one that has great apps like Urbanspoon, Starbucks and OpenTable. It usually has the name “Location” or “Utilities” or whatever you decided to call the “black-hole” folder. Apple’s trying to make it a little less awkward by bringing a new category to the App Store that showcases apps designed for all things Food & Drink. Now, when you try to add Starbucks to a folder with another food/drink app, the name will default to Food & Drink, making organizing the home screen a little bit easier. There’s currently a little over 3,000 apps in the category, but expect more as developers update their applications.
You can check out the latest category in the App Store on your computer or iOS device.
