App Watch: “The Dark Knight Rises” game lands on the App Store

Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan’s partnership is the best thing to happen to Batman movies since the Shark Repellent Bat Spray from the original 1959  film. The franchise got all the better when the Arckham City Lockdown title hit the App Store last year. Powered by the same Unreal graphics engine as the awesome Infinity Blade series, it was visually stunning and used intuitive and unobtrusive controls.

Just in time for the European red carpet event, Gameloft has announced that “The Dark Knight Rises” is out now. The title is available for $6.99 in the US (£4.99 in the UK). We’ll try and get hold of a copy to review so you can have a more in depth look without coughing up your hard-earned pennies. In the mean time, check out the teaser vid above. It’s being released across the globe as I type this, so, it could already have landed in the US store by now. If it hasn’t, simply search for it and it should show up shortly – if not already.

Wow, the author is really inaccurate, he's off by about 7 years on the date of the first Batman movie. Its from 1966! Come on, ever heard of the 1966 Batman TV series, it was a spin off on that show, I mean the year is only in the name!
