Samsung making it easier for iPhone users to switch with “Easy Phone Sync”

Apple and Samsung are each others’ best friends and worst enemies. They’re embroiled in countless lawsuits, but they also profit heavily from each other thanks to Samsung having its parts inside the iDevice range. In the market place, no one is closer than Samsung to knocking the iPhone from its top spot. In fact, the Galaxy devices have been so well marketed and received, that iOS lovers everywhere have to think twice before upgrading to a new iPhone.

One of the big attractions of iOS and its device lineup is the ecosystem. Its seamless integration with iTunes and iCloud make it a huge player in the smartphone world, and make it equally difficult to leave and start using a different platform. There have been apps launched in the past, for other devices, but none have caused a stir online like this one from Sammy.

“We’re really proud to announce the launch of this new application and can’t wait to hear what our new and existing customers think of it. We know that traditionally iPhone users have been reluctant to switch to an Android device because they couldn’t use iTunes to manage their content. Easy Phone Sync means people can now enjoy their iTunes content on a Samsung Galaxy phone. What’s more is that it’s really easy for them to do, and literally takes five minutes to set up.”

Easy Phone Sync is a phone app and desktop client combination which hooks in to your iTunes backups and syncs that data with your Galaxy device. Having recently purchased a GSIII to compare on the site, I can say it works pretty well. Music options are limited to playlists only, but, it will sync contacts and messages as well as podcasts. The process is smooth, and fairly quick.

To be quite honest, I can’t see the benefits of this over something like DoubleTwist, and it certainly doesn’t cover all the options you’d get from syncing an iPhone. But, nevertheless, it’s a help to anyone looking to betray Apple in favor of the Korean tech firm.

    “… to betray Apple”

    LOL

Apple show his “love” to their customers by high prices (high profit margin) and if anyone buy another phone they will “betray” Apple. It’s obvious.
