One of the biggest frustrations in my life is the lack of an AirPrint compatible printer. To print anything wirelessly from my iPad I need to have a 3rd party application downloaded to my phone and a desktop client on my Mac. On top of that, I have to have my computer switched on for it to work. It’s almost not worth trying. Thankfully, a company has finally answered my prayers: Lantronix.
The manufacturer has just announced the xPrintServer. It’s a Plug-and-Print wireless “hub” that plugs in to your printer. You don’t need to download any apps, or software, you don’t even need to install any drivers anywhere. You literally just have to plug it in, and your iPhone or iPad will find it. Go through the AirPrint options on your device, and it’ll show up. Awesome right?
How much does it cost? $99.95. It can be purchased through Lantronix’ online store, or through one of the third party resellers listen in the PR release below. It could be a life saver for households like mine full of iOS devices and only one computer.

Lantronix Launches Consumer Wireless Printing Solution for
iPad and Apple iOS Devices
New xPrintServer – Home Edition — Easy Plug-and-Print Solution for
Families and Home Offices
London – June 21, 2012 – Lantronix (NASDAQ: LTRX), a leading global provider of smart machine to machine (M2M) connectivity solutions, today announced the launch of its new xPrintServer™ – Home Edition, designed specifically for home use by consumers wishing to print from their iPad®, iPhone® or iPod® Touch to a USB or network printer. Roughly the size of an iPhone, the new xPrintServer – Home Edition is premiering at today’s Digital Experience, a leading consumer electronics media event in New York.
A follow-on product to the hugely popular Network Edition of the xPrintServer, the new Home Edition provides easy, hassle-free printing from iPads, iPhones or any other Apple® iOS® device. Designed specifically for home use, the xPrintServer – Home Edition adds support for USB printers and supports up to two network printers. Now iOS users can wirelessly print emails, web pages, photos, and more to their existing printer without having to install any software or device drivers. The xPrintServer – Home Edition is simple; no need to connect to a PC or Mac. Open it. Plug it in. Begin printing. The product will begin shipping in July 2012 and is available for pre-ordering now at
www.Lantronix.com.
“With the proliferation of mobile devices like the iPad and iPhone, more and more consumers are using them as mainstream, computing devices,” said J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D., principal analyst, MobileTrax LLC. “Until recently, the problem with using these devices as PC replacements has been the inability to easily print. The xPrintServer offers a simple solution to fill this market need.”
The patent-pending xPrintServer – Home Edition has the added benefit of transforming USB printers to network printers. Now instead of being tied to only one PC or Mac, the USB printer will be available over the home network to all networked PCs or Macs in addition to the iOS devices.
“We are incredibly excited to launch the newest member in the award-winning xPrintServer family,” said Mak Manesh, vice president of product management for Lantronix. “With more than 55 million U.S. households alone owning on average three Apple devices and two printers, the market is ripe for a consumer-friendly printing solution for iPads and iPhones that is easy to install and easy to use.”
The xPrintServer – Home Edition: Key Differentiators
· Ease of use. No IT experience required. Simply open the box, plug it in, print.
· No software. No software or apps to purchase, install, or support.

· Print everything. If it can be viewed, opened, or read on an iOS device, it can be printed with the xPrintServer.
The xPrintServer: Open it. Plug it in. Print!

I think home user buy a new printer instead of buying $99 device only for air print ability that's it. And business user may don't use air print because they already have network printer. So sorry to say its out from the market soon Price not justify the use.
