New iTunes Connect app update released for developers
If you are an Apple registered developer, and use it for publishing applications, you know what iTunes Connect is. For those that don’t know what it is, iTunes Connect is the service that Apple uses for showing developers the amount of applications they have sold, where developers upload the updates/new apps for review by Apple, where it shows your profits each period from applications, and where you can see the status of your applications in the App Store; plus much more. To make it easier on developers that are constantly on the go or just wanted a way to keep up-to-date, Apple released their own iTunes Connect application for iOS on the App Store a few years ago (it’s hidden though and you must have the link to get to the iTunes page for it, which can be found with a simple Google search). They have released small updates here and there to fix bugs, etc, but they just released a new version, labeled 2.0, that is a fairly large and, well, much needed update (fellow developers will know what I’m saying). The change log from iTunes is copied here:
- Enhanced product detail views for your entire catalog
- View all customer reviews and ratings
- Advanced search feature
- Developers can reject apps submitted for review
- Developers can release approved app version updates
- Titles and sales are combined on iPad
- Trends and customer reviews are combined on iPad
So like I stated before, fellow developers, you see where I was coming from. I know for sure I personally will use iTC Mobile much more now.
What do you think? Are you a developer that uses iTC Mobile? If so, are you glad to see these features added? Let us know in the comments.
