Happy Birthday iPhone!

Apple will soon be hitting its 5 year anniversary and it’s a pretty cool thing to look back and see where it all started. I remember when the first iPhone launched and how badly I wanted to get one. I was rockin’ a blackberry and didn’t pick an iPhone up until by BB died. When it did bite the dust…that was the best day of my life. The iPhone has revolutionized technology in a way that is hard to explain. It set a standard that has helped inspire competition and pushed others to innovate beyond their years.

Looking financially, in the past 5 years Apple has generated over $150 billion dollars in revenue. It has managed to become the most valuable company, even beating out gas in the market for a time. Steve Jobs managed to put in one device, so many different things, but got them working in such harmony that a lot of people refer to Steve as the Edison of our generation. I think that is more than a fitting title for a man who helped change the world of technology as we know it. Happy Birthday iPhone!

What do you guys think? Is there a specific time you remember getting an Apple product? Chime in and let us know your thoughts

I was a huge Android supporter for many years and I would bash the iPhone, but in reality I had never used one. When I went to Verizon I took that leap of faith and got the iPhone and it changed my personal digital experience forever. It is the best device I have used. It is amazing how everything on it works so seemlessly. Buying an iPad was such a smooth experience because of owning an iPhone already. Thank you Apple.

@HannSanchez : same here. I owned every android possible. I would bash on iPhone cuz it was small. One day I accidentally lost my galaxy note and was forced to use an old 3GS my brother had for the mean time for the rest of my weekend at my parents house and my technological days had changed forever. There were way. Enter apps. And even an old 3GS was speedy on the web and downloading content. Although the screen was a little smaller, I def was able to use it. Now, I think bigger is dumber. This phone looks gorgeous considering it's really out dated. I think it has the. Est design for any phone. A couple of days ago, I just bought the 4s. It's even. Better. Retina is crazy good!!!! I'll never go back to android or Samsucks! They are all the same no matter who makes them.
