It’s been almost a year since the Spotify iPhone app first hit the App Store. In that time the online music streaming service has grown to be incredibly popular, and it didn’t take long for the absence of an iPad app to be noticed – running the iPhone app on the tablet’s larger screen looked poor and was only a temporary solution.
Spotify for iPad, on the other hand, looks pretty great. It’s very reminiscent of the Twitter for iPad application, with the sliding panels and sleek, dark interface. Even better, it’s optimized for the new iPad’s Retina display making album art really pop.
Of course, like the iPhone app, Spotify for iPad is free in the App Store but requires a premium Spotify account in order to stream any content. What’s your favorite music solution?
