Pod2G: 5.1.1 Untethered jailbreak “Absinthe 2.0″ days away

Seems like the jailbreak community has been extremely chatty the last couple of weeks. With every new tweet from renown hacker pod2g, people’s anticipation for freeing their phones grows.

Well this time the eagerness is well warranted. Pod2G has been tweeting the updates on the latest untethered jailbreak’s progress. Soon you will be able to tweak and modify your Apple locked gizmos to your heart’s content.

The tweet from pod2G said:

“Thanks to awesome work of @planetbeing and @pimskeks, we’re near ready for a release. Now it’s a matter of days.”

The new jailbreak tool will be called Absinthe 2.o. It will be the successor to the original Absinthe tool that was first used to jailbreak A5 iOS devices. So with any luck, we can be expecting this tool by the end of the week, if not sooner.

Personally, I am extremely excited for the untethered jailbreak release. I have been jailbreaking my iPhones since I got my first one. Now for those of you that have never jailbroken your device, I must warn you that it does void Apple’s warranty, so do so at your own risk.

Are you guys as excited as I am about the release? Or do you not jailbreak your device?

I hear you same here man. I've been jailbreaking since day 1. This one I must say is the most highly anticipated jailbreaks ever. Without these geniuses at work everyone would be stuck with a boring idevice.
