China Mobile in Talks With Apple on Getting The iPhone, According to Chairman
Anytime Apple puts the iPhone on a new carrier it’s a big deal. T-Mobile hasn’t even gotten it in the US yet. but it would appear that Apple is looking to add China Mobile to it’s list of “iPhone Approved Carriers.” Being one of the world’s biggest carriers, it’ll be a major partnership should it go through.
According to a story out of bloomberg.com, Apple is in talks with the world largest phone carrier by users, about adding the iPhone to its line-up. Chairman Xi Guohua said,
“China Mobile and Apple both have the will to strengthen cooperation. When there is more specific news, we will disclose it.”
Apple is always looking to reach more consumers, so being able to reach an agreement on this deal would be very beneficial to both companies. Both companies are looking at becoming much more profitable if this deal goes through. The iPhone always brings in lots of money, no matter which carrier it has been on in the past. Since legal negotiations is one of Apple’s most familiar territories, hopefully they can use it to their advantage this time.
