Early this morning I received an interesting email from a company called Scalado. I’d never heard of them, and was tempted to do the usual: trash the email. We get so many, that it’s tough to keep up with the stuff that’s genuinely groundbreaking or unique. This latest one certainly ticks the right boxes.

PhotoBeamer can beam images to any display that’s connected to the internet. Smart TVs and computer monitors alike can take advantage of this really cool software without any extra downloads or setup. I have to say, it looks fantastic. Simply download the app, open an image and point your computer/TV browser to the PhotoBeamer site and you’re ready to go.

You can download PhotoBeamer from the App Store right now for $0.99 and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S as well as 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch. Requires iOS 5 or later. I’ll be checking it out over the next few days.
