One of the most modified aspect of jailbroken iOS devices is the lock screen. You can change the font of the clock, make certain buttons or features accessible, and even change the design of the slider. However, one of the most popular lock screen mods has to do with the unlocking of the device.
Many people aren’t satisfied with Apple’s slider and PIN system, and prefer something a bit more fun and secure for their precious iPhones. For a while now people have been opting for the Android-style pattern unlock method. But now there’s a new jailbreak tweak called Stride that takes that method one step further.
Once installed, Stride allows users to set a custom, 8-bit visual design which must be drawn, in order to unlock the device. The pattern can be virtually anything the user can think of, which makes unlocking both a fun and very secure process. What’s more, if you’re still worried about security, you can enable a PIN along with your custom unlock drawing.
It’s available now for $2.99 in Cydia. If this sounds appealing to you, be sure to check out the video above courtesy of iDownloadBlog. And if you’re already a Stride user, let us know how your experience with the tweak has been in the comments section below.
