Since the launch of Angry Birds in late 2009, the game series has seen almost unprecedented growth, and has transformed Rovio into one of the most successful app developers out there. In November of last year Rovio announced that the series had been downloaded over 500 million times. Today the company has another impressive number to share with us.

According to the official Angry Birds twitter page, the newest member of the Angry Birds family – Angry Birds Space – was downloaded 10 million times in only 3 days! It’s not unexpected that the game is popular, but that is certainly an impressive feat.

Angry Birds space takes the Angry Birds platform that so many people love so much and adds some awesome space-themed features like zero gravity, so it’s no wonder people are clamoring to get it. And, unlike the last super popular Apple-related launch – the new iPad – Angry Birds can’t sell out and there’s no shipping time delays or 5-hour lines.
