i-Men: Marvel officially begins offering comics in iBooks
Marvel, the comic book giant behind greats such as Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, announced today that iOS customers can now download their favorite comics right onto their iPad through Apple’s iBookstore. According to the company’s news site,
“With an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, Marvel fans across the world can now purchase over 80 graphic novels with fan-favorite characters like Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Man and more by launching the iBooks app.â€
If you click visit the iBookstore now, you’ll notice a new Marvel Graphic Novels section where you’ll be able to download a slew of graphic novels. Prices range from free to $24.99 and cover a wide array of topics. You have the classic comics like Spiderman and The Avengers, but there are also some “literary-adapted graphic novels,” which are basically classic novels like The Wizard of Oz and Pride & Prejudice that have been converted into graphic novels.
