Cook’s Apple-branded “living room product” could be iTV
While speaking at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference yesterday, Tim Cook talked a lot about the Apple TV box. However, the way in which he referred to it and Apple-branded “living room products” in general has led many people to speculate that he was hinting at the much-hyped Apple iTV.
Notably, Cook explained that the company sees a larger market possibilities than what the Apple TV box currently offers. Cook did praise the Apple TV, telling the audience to go out and buy it, but he also said that if Apple “kept on pulling the string†the company could take the small “hobby” and turn it into a huge opportunity.
To me, this can mean only one thing – an Apple HDTV. We’ve heard so much about this device, but this is really the first time Tim Cook has alluded to it. Let’s hope that means we’ll see them hit store shelves sooner rather than later!
