All this week so far has been about accessories. We had the nifty Piolo stand on Monday, iSkin Claro on Tuesday and yesterday was the WakeMate. Today, we’re giving you a break from accessories and going with apps. Specifically, quality games. I have written on my top 5 apps previously, but, games is a different matter entirely. I figure most of you can afford a $1 small, addictive game like Angry Birds, or Tiny Wings, so I’m going with the higher end, higher graphics quality stuff.

Game 1 – Batman, Arkham City Lockdown

Usual price: $5.99
Compatibility: iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running iOS 4.0 or later. It’s a universal app, so it looks great on the iPad.

Using the same Unreal graphics engine as Infinity Blade,  Batman goes on a quest to rid Gotham city of all the usual suspects: Two Face, The Joker etc. You defeat enemies by attacking, using combos, dodging bullets and deflecting attacks. It’s a fantastic game.

Game 2 – Infinity Blade II

Usual price: $5.99
Compatibility:  iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running iOS 3.2 or later. It’s a universal download too.

If you’re all about graphics and great user interfaces, this game is a must. On an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 – with their enhanced GPUs – the quality is Unreal (pun intended). The story adds to the first title in this series, and adds a little more variety.

Game 3 – The Heist

Usual price: $2.99
Compatibility: iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.Requires iOS 3.1.3 or later.

One of my favorite games from last year. Although not as graphically impressive as the other two titles, it has enough code-breaking, and puzzling to keep your mind active for a good few hours. Your task? To break in to a vault, step-by-step.
