New Verizon iPhone 4S ad pokes fun at AT&T

It’s fair to say that in the iPhone world AT&T was seen as having an advantage over Verizon, due to it holding the exclusivity for so long. It was only this year that “Big Red” subscribers could get their hands on the coveted device. However, one thing was always clear, AT&T customers complained of poor coverage and dropped calls due to overloading on the carrier’s network. Worst affected were customers in the New York City area.

VZW has recently released a new TV commercial to show the benefits of being one of the CDMA carrier’s users. It points towards the company’s reliable and widely available coverage. Apparently, you can even get signal in the sea.

I actually use Internet while talking on almost every call I make. It helps when someone asks you to check for something and you can do it right during the call. I don't know how I'd live without this feature

Ummm these are some lazy ass fucks....... That looks like a mile swim......trust me if getting to shore was that important, swimming would not be an issue -____-.....that's y I haye people

Improper grammar would be the reason I hate you.

Luckily the odds of me being stuck out at sea are much smaller than me being in an important call and needing to use the Internet. The day Verizon can do that they'll impress me, until then I still think of them as company that can't walk and chew him at the same time.

Verizon can do that, if you're using a 4G device. Once LTE is standard, that will be a thing of the past.

It's Pretty pathetic that the ONLY argument FOR AT&T is that you can surf the Internet and talk on the phone at the same time. The only flaw in that argument is that if you don't get signal neither are possible. In the 14 months I had my AT&T iPhone, I used that "feature" once. I would much rather have the ability to make calls in more places than be able to make calls and surf in limited areas of my city!

The same could be said about Verizon's spotty coverage in my city. My family has had both and we actually get better service with AT&T and not get hidden fees added to our bills that's Verizon likes to do. It's all about the coverage in Your City !

You actually use the feauture more then you think, when i had verizon i would stream music and then when I got a text message it would kill the stream recieve the message and then take for ever to resume. Since I got tmobile which also uses the same technology i have never had a stream drop because of getting a txt. And i also enjoy faster average and peak data speeds.

Since the iPhone on Tmobile uses edge your argument is BS.  You can't use data and voice at the same time on Tmobile on edge, and Verizon can receive Txt and data at the same time. Just so you know, quallcomm chips on VZW do allow voice and data use on Verizon at the same time like with the Thunderbolt and the Rezound.  Both devices are 4g, but the system works well with 3g too.
