Apple’s Black Friday discounts leaked?
9to5 Mac appears to have gotten its hands on a pamphlet detailing Apple’s 2011 Black Friday discounts, courtesy of a “trusted tipster.” According to the images, the sale is pretty similar to last year’s offerings, but there are a few differences.
If these pictures are legit, the discounts are as follows…
As far as the Mac is concerned, Apple has taken $101 off the price of the iMac, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro. The company knocked $41-$61 off the iPad’s price, depending on which capacity you go for. Both the 8 and 16 gigabyte iPod Nano models will be $11 cheaper, while the iPod Touch will be discounted $21-$41 based on which model you buy.
What’s more, it’s not just the hardware that’s discounted – both Apple-branded and third party accessories will also be included in the Black Friday madness. Apple’s dropped the price of the Smart Cover, wireless keyboard and wireless magic trackpad by $11. Other discounts include the Time Capsule, Airport Extreme, Jawbone Up, mophie JuicePack Air, and much much more.
Now the pictures of the pamphlet look pretty real to me, but there’s always the chance that they are complete bogus. However, the fact that the discounts are very similar to last year’s Black Friday sale also lends credibility to this leak. I’d hazard a guess that, even if these picture do turn out to be a photoshop job, the Apple discounts this year will be pretty close to the ones outlined in the pamphlet.
So, assuming that these are the special Black Friday prices, are you excited? Who’s planning to stand in line at your local Apple Store to capitalize on the busiest (and possibly most frightening) shopping day of the year? If you’re still unsure, definitely check out our Black Friday Buyer’s Guide!
