Sprint confirms unlimited data plans for iPhone 4S!

As if the iPhone finally coming to Sprint wasn’t good enough, the third-largest carrier confirmed today that it will indeed offer unlimited data plans for new iPhone customers! This makes Sprint the only US carrier offering new iPhone customers an unlimited data plan. How long this will last is still uncertain, but it’s sure to draw in customers looking to take advantage of the 14.4 Mbps download speeds the 4S is rockin’.

Pricing will start at  $69.99 for unlimited data and 450 talk minutes and if you choose the Simply Everything unlimited calling and data plan, it’ll run you $99.99. Basically, the iPhone won’t be given any special treatment – it’ll have access to the same voice, data and tethering options as the rest of Sprint’s smart phone lineup. Good move, Sprint.

Does this motivate any of you to switch over to Sprint, or are you fine with your current carrier/data plan configuration?

i have grandfathered unlimited data w/ AT&T, and Rumor has it that the 14.4 mbps is only true for AT&t's network? so would it be wise to just stick with my carrier?

I care less on the price, i just like having unlimited data.. :)

Worried about Sprint plans and pricing.  Reading fine print and its confusing.  First off the plan mentioned above is 79.99 - not 69.99 (hint - to save ten bucks, get a sprint employee discount - its online to find)...BUT  what are fees and taxes etc...Fine print mentions a 15% fee (that would be another $15 bucks a month bringing us with taxes to over $100)..So id like someone to tell me what the REAL PRICE IS.  Also fine print says that Sprint can change anything in the plan at any time...so even if they are offering unlimited data now, they don't have to keep offering that.  Fine print also said promotion ends Oct 30- -- but also warns that Sprint can cancel your account if you use too much talk time or data.  That is all making me think if things sound too good to be true, maybe they are.  I think I want to see reviews in a month of how iphone4s is performing on Sprint and whether new customers are happy or not.

Sprints $10 Premium Data charge is only for phones that support sprints 4G network. The iPhone will not be 4G, so you wouldn't have to pay the $10 Premium Data charge.

No!  It's for all smartphones

Is ATT really that bad?  Most people I know in the US with iPhones have ATT and they are always complaining about it.  I would think ATT would have an advantage with rollover minutes and the HSPA and being able to access talk and data at the same time.  They lost me with the $20 texting but maybe iMessage will enable people to skirt that - you just have to make sure you only befriend other iPhone people. LOL.

I think the price is actually 79.99 because Sprint has a $10 surcharge on smartphones and I assume the iPhone would quality for this.  I keep seeing media reports missing that fact.  I may be wrong but check the Sprint website!  Go to plans and you'll see this at the bottom of the page:  "If you pick a smartphone, our $10 Premium Data add-on charge will apply"

All I want is out of AT&T and unlimited data, Sprint or Tmo for me!

I moved to Sprint last March.  I wish I knew about the iPhone 4S, otherwise I would have waited before I switched.  I switched carriers because I'm pay the with both my wife and I on a plan at Sprint compared to having a single line on AT&T with limited data.  I did not regret the move, except for the know of the iPhone.

But Im still switching over

if it wasn't for the ''premium data'' fee. . .

The Premium Data fee only apply to phones that are 4G. The iphone is not 4G

THe $10 fee is for ALL SMARTPHONES, including the IPHONE.

correction: The CDMA radios only support EVDO Rev. A 14.4Mbps HSDPA is exclusive to GSM mode

Nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger

Ahahahahahahahahah! You're a nigger for that.

Really?!? What's with thr offensive language on a cell phone forum?
