Jailbreak Tuesday: HoneyPad Lite Review
Themes on iOS devices have been around since the beginning of the Jailbreak community. Device owners want to change the look of their device, not just the background. Winterboard has, for years, been the way to sport a new theme on your device. Though, over the past year or so, Dreamboard has been stepping into the spotlight and taking theming to a whole new level.
Dreamboard has brought a Mac OS X lion theme to the iPhone and iPod, complete with desktop OS features – the entire experience is changed and themed to match the experience you would have when your using Mac OS X lion.
This week we are looking at HoneyPad Lite. This theme brings Android Honeycomb right to the iPad. The theme is very detailed. The Lite version does have many restrictions but is still amazing in that you really feel as though your holding a honeycomb tablet.
I have found only one issue within the lite version. Â The keyboard locked up when I changed my weather zip code and the only way for me to get rid of it was to restart my iPad.
The overall experience is smooth and does a great job replicating the experience of using a honeycomb tablet experience. I realize some of you may or may not care to give this a shot, but you should check out Dreamboard regardless, as there are tons of other themes out there for your iOS Device.
