T-mobile iPhone release imminent? “All hands day” 24th September

Our sister site, TmoNews, was sent the image above earlier today. It confirms that T-mobile is expecting something big around the 24th September, a Saturday. The “All hands day” has been called due to “an anticipated high-volume day.” Obviously, as an iPhone-centric blog we sincerely hope we see the arrival of the long awaited T-mobile iPhone. But, in truth it could be one of many things. With whisperings of a Sprint iPhone coming soon, it would be a good time for Apple to finally make the device available on all carriers.

Was talking about cell phone plans in general.  And Apple does allow discounts...Just look at buying an iPod or Mac from Apple vs 3rd party sites.  Cell phone companies at times have had sales where they've sold iPhones for under 199

Agreed.  I am interested in the IP5, love paying $60/month on TMO, but family members and friends on ATT always seem to have better coverage than me in any remote or non-remote setting.  But i'd end up at $85/month with 450 rollover minutes vs. unlimited.

But Saturday isn't like the normal for Apple. But I hope the iPhone comes out either month's end or first week Oct. I'm waiting so patiently for it!

doubt tmob will get the iphone5

Would love to see the Tmob iPhone; would love to see real competition between the big 4 on iPhone prices...but Im not holding my breath.  (Im not signing any contracts yet but not holding my breath)  With the merger all up in the air, it just doesn't seem that TMob would get an iPhone.  And would thy give it to both Sprint & Tmob at the same time?  I do wish it were like foreign countries where friends tell me every major carrier has iPhones and theres real competition without the exclusivity BS.  But its hard to fathom but Ill keep hope alive.  It would be nice to see major price competition and not feel that to have an iPhone , you have to get gauged with extra high pricing.  I don't want to double my rate plan just for an iPhone - but yet everyone I know - family , friends in US, Canada, UK, Australia - everyone I know has an iPhone - and Im the lone hold out with an old Tmob calling plan.

Isn't T-Mobile a UK phone provider and as the SGII is out already here I'm hoping it's the iPhone 5 as I can do an early upgrade on 24 September.

I don't know about it being a uk provider, but it is a U.S. provider

they're both, Tmobile USA and UK, branches of their parent company,  Deutsche Telekom.

GSII. It also fits with the other carrier release dates of the GSII
