Rumor: Apple’s October iPhone event to be held on home soil

According to AllThingsD‘s John Paczkowski Apple’s iPhone launch event could be held on Cupertino turf. Usually the big iPhone events are held outside the main Apple campus. For instance WWDC is usually held in the Moscone West center in San Francisco. However, with this being a product launch and not a long conference for developers, Cook&Co. should have enough sitting room in Apple HQ’s biggest auditorium. The same site recently stated that the event will be held on October 4th.

“Sources close to the company say the demonstration — currently scheduled for Tuesday October 4, a date first reported by AllThingsD — will be held at Apple’s campus in Cupertino, California.”

Paczkowski seems pretty confident of both the October 4th date, and the location. That is something to bear in mind. If it’s reliable information we should see invites being sent out in the next couple of weeks.

All I care about is iOS 5. It seems like everyone's forgotten about it as of late.

OK here's the latest rumor from an unknown person that doesn't work at Radio Shack, has nothing to do with Apple and owns a RAZR (not me).  "No iphone this year. Taking a year off. Being under pressure is too much. I gave up my job." Signed SJ : )

If Apple sticks to its typical pattern of sending out invites exactly one week before an event, we should see them on Tuesday, September 28

Tuesday is the 27. Dummy.

I realize that now. My mistake

Next couple of weeks?! Uhm oct. 4th is already next week smh -_-
