iTunes store to further extend its reach into European Union – rumor

The iTunes store is rumored to be expanding to 10 new European Union countries very soon! First reported on in a Polish newspaper called Rzeczpospolita, some of the countries that will soon gain access to the wildly popular online store include Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Currently there are a total of 12 EU countries that do not have access to the iTunes Store, so hopefully Apple will be closing that gap shortly.

But, really? 12 countries? That’s a lot of people without iTunes music. I guess I sort of took it for granted that everyone had access to the iTunes store because, honestly, I can barely remember a time without it. It seems strange to me that there are so many people out there who still haven’t been granted access to something that I’ve been using for years.

Well, I’m glad Apple is finally taking care of this problem. If anyone reading this happens to live in one of the countries where the iTunes store is not currently available, are you excited at the prospect of finally gaining access? Or maybe you’ve already found a better alternative? Le me know down in the comments section!
