Jailbreak Tuesday: CallBar Tweak review

Every day more and more jailbreak tweaks are being developed for iOS. Many of them are alright, but every once in a while one comes along that reassures me that jailbreaking is definitely the way to go. I recently came across one such tweak, and I’m really excited about it.

This week I want to take a look at a tweak called CallBar. This tweak is great because it replaces the intrusive incoming call notification that takes over your iPhone’s screen with a sleek notification banner at the top of it, iOS 5-style.

The settings in CallBar enable you to toggle the tweak on or off however you see fit. Though, after using this tweak for a while, I’m not sure why you would want to turn it off.

Furthermore, CallBar isn’t just for incoming phone calls – the tweak is also compatible with FaceTime requests. That means it runs on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch!

I really like this tweak. In fact, the only downside I can see is the price, which is relatively high for such a simple feature. Though, if you’ve got a little extra cash to burn, I’m sure you’ll love this. For more info, definitely check out my demo video below.

CallBar is a commercial application in Cydia that cost $3.99
