Blood pressure monitor: coming soon to iPhone

Are you one of the millions of people in the world with high blood pressure? Or maybe a medical doctor who is addicted to your iOS device? Well, soon, you’ll be able to take a patient’s (or your own) blood pressure right from your iOS device. Withings announced availability of its blood pressure monitor, which is compatible with all iOS devices and FDA approved.

The product uses an application (available in the App Store) as well as a stand-alone cuff to take your blood pressure. The cuff connects to your blood pressure through the dock connector on your device.

The app also offers support for some Microsoft HealthVault and Google Health, meaning that sharing your blood pressure information could not be any easier.

Withings also has other health products that it advertises as being connected. The largest example of this would be its WiFi body scale, which runs a hefty price tag of $159. The blood pressure monitor is a little more affordable at $129, with the application being free.
