iPhone 5 (4S) is T-mobile/Sprint compatible -rumor

Remember that T-mobile iPhone that was found to be in testing? Said device was shown to be working on Tmo’s 3G network. Originally it was thought that this handset was a plain old iPhone 4 that had been adapted to work on the HSPA+ network. Later it was found that the device was in fact the same iPhone “4S” being tested by games developers.

According to an analyst, Peter Misek over at Business Insider, the iPhone 5 will in fact be called the iPhone 4S. He also stated that the device will be compatible with T-mobile’s HSPA+ network and surprisingly Sprint’s CDMA network. What this means is that some point in the next year we could see the launch of the iPhone the America’s “other” two carriers. It will also mean that those on T-mobile will experience the first ever 4G capable Apple handset.

“According to our industry checks, the device should be called iPhone 4S and include minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support.

There’s still nothing further regarding a larger screen, unfortunately all we have to go on there is a photograph of some leaked front panels.

Are you guys excited that there could be more carriers to choose from with the next iPhone? Weigh in below, or tweet me – @TiP_Cam.

I can't wait now I can switch to t-mobile and save over $300 a year and still have a iPhone By By AT&T.

Maybe Apple is looking to follow their steps in Europe. We could see the end of carrier exclusivity all together.

I wonder about the other "other" carriers... US Cellular, Cellular South, Metro PCS, Cricket....
