Wall Street Journal has confirmed that the white iPhone 4 is definitely being released this spring. Apple reiterated the prediction it made last fall by stating that the phone should be out sometime in the next couple of months. There’s no word yet on a specific time or date for the release. Apple also declined to comment on carrier availability.  It could be on both AT&T and Verizon, or just AT&T.  I personally hope both versions are announced.

The device has had manufacturing difficulties, which were not helped by the “death grip” signal drop issues caused by the iPhone 4′s antenna design. Since it’s looking increasingly likely that the iPhone 5 won’t be out until September, this could be just what the company needs to see it through the summer and keep users interested.

I’m actually due an upgrade soon, and am seriously considering the white iPhone. (That’s if it’s available on my carrier.) Is anyone else interested? Will you buy one? Let me know on twitter, or comment below.
