J.D. Power and Associates, those arbiters of quality and service, have done it again: The company has released its latest customer satisfaction survey, and — surprise, surprise — the iPhone nabbed top honors as the handset customers are most satisfied with.

The devices were judged in categories that included ease of use, operating system, physical design, features, and battery function. In the case of the iPhone, it was singled out especially for ease of use and its operating system.

The Apple device led the pack, coming out ahead of Motorola and HTC, with poor RIM and its BlackBerry ranked dead last.
