iPad 2 hitting 25 more countries on Friday

Despite news that iPad 2 stock is running low in the US, and lines are growing increasingly tired and frustrated, Apple is still launching the second generation tablet across the world in three days time. Last year when similar gadget fever caught the nation Apple pushed back the international shipping dates twice, delaying it by over a month. This time the company seems intent on sticking to its original promise.

“iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK on March 25…”

By then it will have been 2 weeks since it was made available in the US, and who’d have thought that someone buying it on launch day overseas would have it before someone who’d originally intended to snag one on launch day on the 11th.
