Read e-books in the bath tub with DryCase

Over the years, clever boffins have created various ways of using your electronic gadgets in wet environments. Whether you want to use your MP3 player in the rain, take your camera scuba diving, or listen to music in the shower, there’s generally a solution for it.

Dry Case, a company specialising in waterproof accessories, has recently released the DryCASE for tablets and e-book readers. It’s basically an airtight bag, that protects your device from liquid onslaughts, while remaining completely usable. It costs about $60 comes with an “easy to use hand pump” and features:

  • Waterproof Vacuum Seal
  • Stereo Headphone & Mic Jack
  • Includes Hold Handle
  • Headphone & Mic Jack
  • Crystal Clear for Photos
  • Works with any Tablet or E-reader

One advantage traditional books had over books on the iPad was that you could read them in the bath, now, you can do that with the iPad too. Whether you want to spend 6o bucks to have that luxury, I don’t know. I could certainly do with one to protect my tablet from my daughters food-covered paws.
