I hate it. The case adds way too much bulk. The attachment that you plug in doesn’t “almost” defeat the purpose of wireless charging, it totally defeats it. I mean, what’s the difference?

It should be on a “most overpriced and useless products” list.

I want wireless charging but for me it’s not here yet. These things add to much bulk for me. I can’t wait for someday companys such as Apple include wireless charging built into the phone. Where it doesn’t require a case and it is built in. :)

    Micheal,

That type of wireless charging will never happen. Take a moment to think about the application of wireless charging. If apple allowed wireless charging, how would the “charge” get into the cellphone? The way charging cases work is by plugging into the cell phone and transferring the charge from the case to the phone. Thus creates a wireless charging feel. If apple intergrated true wifi charging without a case, what would charge the battery? It would defy physics. Sorry, but a charging case will be the closest we could ever come. Or things within that nature. Wifi charging just defies the natural laws

Now, on the the matter of the product.

    I prefer many others.

No, that is not what I mean. What I did mean is that for apple to put the connecter into the phone and have a charging dock just like this one. Idk if that makes sense but here’s an example of what I mean. The Palm Pre and Palm touchstone wireless charger. So yes what I mean does exist and is out there in use today. And yes what your comment says about wifi charging is nearly impossible. I never mentioned wifi in my post.

Okay I hope this post this time because my iPhone refuses to post this. lol

I don’t know if that makes sense but here’s an example, the Palm Pre and the Palm Touchstone wireless charger. It comes standard with the Pre 2. So yes what I mean does exist and is in use today.
And for the wifi charging yes I know that is nearly impossible. I never mentioned wifi in my post.

Nikola Tesla once wirelessly transfered energy over 26 miles. And some kids at MIT can do it 7 feet today.

  • Max1496

It’s not impossiable. The palm pre was built with wireless charging already built in. All apple would have to do is allow charging from the 30 pin connected and the back. It’s not that hard. Don’t doubt apple. So far that have astounded us with the tech they have came out with. I’m sure wireless charging could be in the near future. So Anthony I have to disagree with you and go with Micheal.

for $80 just for the mat and then another $30 for the case…i think i will deal with the wires. It is way overpriced!
