Offbeat iPhone: 4 Symptoms of iPhone Addiction
You use your iPhone for calling, web browsing, shopping, music listening, time wasting, and a whole lot more. In fact, many iPhone users, or any iPod users for that matter, don’t even know that they use it as much as they do. So, I took the liberty of compiling a few points to help you know if you are an iAddict.
You know you spend too much time on your iDevice when you:
• Start typing on every device like it is an iPhone.
All too often I find myself trying to “Double space†to get a period, like on my iPod Touch. In a short while, I have got into the habit of doing so, and now I wish my PC would just get with the program. It speeds thing up so much that I usually send emails from my iPod even if my computer is right there. I also have gotten lazy on the spelling, knowing that my iPod will pick up the slack. Well, that’s when my documents on my computer start coming out as gibberish, underlined in reds and greens…so festive.
• Try to touch you non-touchscreen screen.
My computer is not touchscreen. However, my fingers seem to think it is. But can you really blame me. I spend a good portion of my time touching apps on my iPod, and my computer icons look awfully similar to them. It only takes a few taps to realize that no matter how many times I touch the link, it is not going to open. Come on, I’m not the only one who does this. Right?
• Name your pets after Apple Products.

Personally I think “Mac†and “Time Capsule†are great names for my fish. They would suit them perfectly. “Shuffle†may be the best choice for a cats name…but it is cute. Who wouldn’t want to name their dog “Nanoâ€? Man’s best friend should get the name of man’s other best friend. At least I haven’t named any of my pets “Apple†yet.
• iF your words that start with “I†have Apple’s capitalization convention.
Now i spend a lot of time writing about “iProducts†so iT was not a surprise that i started accidentally putting “i†iN lower case. iGuess some habits are harder to break than others. iM probably not the only one who does this either. iT’s just a case of my hands moving at a speed that my brain cannot keep up with so iT formats the “i†iTself. Pretty common? iKnow iM going to have to try and stop this because iT would probably not go well with my English teacher. However iT would be iNteresting to see what she says.
Well, those are the symptoms…the ones iHave least. Do you have any of these or even any that aren’t on this list? iWould love to hear about them in the comment section below.
It's been a while since I've used a BlackBerry, but I believe that the double space for a period thing works there too.
