New Year, New You – the App Store’s picks to improve life
We’re now approaching that time of year again, where everyone makes non-specific resolutions that they won’t keep past Easter. But we all like to try anyway. In the App Store’s featured carousel you’ll notice there’s now a section called “New Year, New You”. In this section is a list of apps to help improve your health, wealth and vitality. It’s broken down in to four compartments; Your Body, Your Mind, Your Money and Your Time.
Within each category is a list of apps to improve a certain area of your life. The “Your Body” section is dedicated to the software that helps keep a check on your weight, fitness and diet. It includes, along with others, Fitness for iPad, Dotti’s food score and FitFu. ”Your Mind” is a category containing apps that help you maintain a healthy state of mind. It includes Stay Happy, Inspiro, and iZen Garden for iPad.
“Your Money” unfortunately does not contain get rich quick schemes that work, it’s more about finding apps to help manage your income better. This list includes PocketMoney, Mortgage Pad, and Pageonce Bill plus some others. Lastly, “Your Time” contains recommended apps for better time management, I sure could do with one or two of these. Among them are Siri Assistant, BoxCar and Omnifocus for iPad.

My favorite diet app of 2010 is intelli-Diet. It’s been getting some great reviews and I lost about 9 lbs using it already! http://bit.ly/intelli-Diet
