Orbitz app — a must-have for the travel season

Oh happy day! Orbitz, one of my favorite travel websites, now has mobile apps for the iOS & Android.

Users can comparison shop airplane tickets, hotel rooms and cars, and reserve them from the app (instead of getting kicked out to the web browser to buy). And for those who need a fast getaway, you can even book for the same day. Other features include the ability to check itineraries, see trip info without a web connection, and view flight status, baggage claim and gate details. Best part? It’s totally free. (The app, not the tickets. Sorry — you’ll have to fund that Christmas in Mexico on your own.)
