Yes guys, this is serious product. I couldn’t believe it when I came across it either. Earos is supposed to protect your ears from those rigid edges of your iPhone. After I thought about it I didn’t think that there was any issues with discomfort when using one of the older iPhone models.

But, with the iPhone 4 I have to admit that sometimes it can feel that the edges of the phone are literally cutting into my ear. I guess that’s the price I pay for the sexy design. If it has gotten to the point where you have become fed up with it then you can also get yourself one of these cool *cough* earcushions to keep your ears from getting all red.

Of course the Earos can do more than just give your ear a break. Here are some of the key features listed by YankoDesing:

• Earos maintains a comfortable separation between the ear and the phone unit, which can emit an uncomfortable amount of heat after prolonged use.
• In cooler climates, Earos shields the ear from wind and cold, extending the phone’s accessibility.
• Earos-equipped phones incur fewer scratches, protected by the signature padding.
• In reverse position, the Earos pad acts as a display stand on flat surfaces, tilting the phone toward the user.

Unfortunately I don’t think this accessory is available for purchase and is only a design concept at the moment (I know you all had your credit cards ready, it’s ok). But seriously, If this was a real product and you could pick up at your local tech store, would you bother? Let us know in the comments.
