Apple thinking of video ads for iAds
Apple could soon be looking into bringing video to its new advertising service iAds. GigaOM is reporting multiple sources stating that Cupertino is hard at work to bring this feature for advertisers. Now why would Apple want to bring video to iAds? Isn’t it good enough as it is for the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad? Well yeah, but it looks to not be much of a hit when it comes to the new Apple TV.
Content providers are keen on renting out episodes and movies for a nice fee but still miss a huge chunk of income with the lack of advertising. And this is most likely the reason Apple has had such a tough time getting more companies on board with Apple TV. Adding video ads to iAds and incorporating it in Apple TV should give it just the enough of a push to get many more providers to offer their content on the new rental service box.
