Chicks ‘n Clicks: A case for every personality

I might not be able to accessorize myself very well – where is Carrie Bradshaw when you need her? – but when it comes to my iPhone 4, I’m practically an expert. Just like shoes, I change my iPhone cases to suit my mood. Luckily there are hundreds of iPhone cases to choose from. No matter what your personality is, there’s a perfect match for you out there.

.

The Party Girl

Armor Series (left) ($24.70): This lightweight case is made of hydrocarbon polymer material, which makes it non-slippery, durable, shock absorbing and resistant to bumps, for extra protection while out at the clubs.

Slider Series hard case (right) ($23.15): This case is also made of hydrocarbon polymer material. It absorbs shocks and protects your phone from damage, dust and scratches. The silver case reminds me of a disco ball!

.

The Artist

S-Line Series ($21.61): Get away from the straight-edged cases and add a bit of character to your iPhone. This one’s made of anti-dust material, plus it’s washable for easy cleaning! (But I wouldn’t use it while painting, though.)

SwitchBACK ($34.95): Sometimes while you’re working, it’s difficult to be hands-on. This case comes with a kickstand, so your phone will stand up even when you can’t hold it. It’s especially great for people who work with their hands, but still want to talk or watch a movie.

.

The Athlete

AeroSport (left) ($29.99): Created by Griffin, this armband is comfortable and light-weight for those long runs or bike rides. The case protects against fingerprints, dust and scratches. The best part is the armband also contains a hidden pocket for your house or locker key.

Adidas miCoach Armband (right) ($29.99): This Griffin sweat-proof armband is similar to the AeroSport, but designed for the miCoach training regimen. But even if that’s not your workout regime of choice, this is a handy accessory that fits multiple different handsets (like HTC, Nokia, BlackBerry — or even a 2nd or 3rd gen iPod Touch!).

SILICRYLIC by Incipio ($29.99): When you’re not bouncing around in Zumba or training for that marathon, you’ll want a case for every day use. The SILICRYLIC has a polycarbonate plastic interior that is embedded in a shock-absorbing silicone core, for max protection.

.

The Geek

Retro Rainbow Cassette Mix Tape ($20.00): This handmade sleeve is a great way to keep your phone from getting scratched up in the bottom of your messenger bag. It’s also really cute, so be sure to show it off!*

Gameboy case ($20.00): Who didn’t have a gameboy? Relive your childhood with this replica felt case. And don’t worry about a little wear and tear. This case is hand washable.*

(*The Etsy seller for these cases offers them individually, but often has more once the item is sold. To check the inventory, or scope out other offerings by this vendor, click here.)

Nintendo Famicom iPhone Case ($25.00): This hand-sewn felt case comes with a velcro closure so your iPhone will be nice and cozy inside. It looks like it’s sold out currently, but hopefully the seller adds more to the shop soon!

.

The Networker

Case Mate ID Credit Card Case ($34.99): This protective case also comes with a slim slot for the bare necessities – ID, cash, credit card or business cards. No need to bring a giant bag with you when everything you need is in your phone. (And if you’re a social networkin’ maven, don’t forget to use the Bump or LinkedIn apps! Just hold your devices and bump fists, to give out your contact info. And why not? If you’ve got a case on it anyway, that handset’s safe.)

The Foodie

Raspberry Toaster Pastry ($24.50): This sleeve is in the shape of my favorite breakfast treat!

Bacon-Case (£29.00, or ~$37.00): I’m not crazy about all of the bacon-flavored and bacon-themed gadgets and goodies out there, but I know there are bacon lovers everywhere who will probably enjoy this item.

Chocolate Style Silicone Case ($24.99): Chocolate lovers rejoice! Be careful no one mistakes your phone for a Hershey’s bar. This case is also available for the iPhone 3/3G.

Bonus: Or why not go the DIY route? Check out these adorable sleeves TiP editor Adriana Lee knitted.

The sleeves and cases above are just a handful of my favorites. (Etsy is a great place to look for unique handmade sleeves. I wish I could buy them all!)
