Firefox Sync, Firefox Home app for iPhone announced
Are you an iPhone-using Firefox fan? Mozilla has some news that may make life a touch easier for you: the unveiling of Firefox Sync and a Firefox Home app for the iPhone.
Formerly known as Weave Sync, Firefox Sync is a browser add-on for the Firefox 4 desktop version. It makes your bookmarks, history, Awesome Bar data, passwords/form data and open tabs available to other Firefox-running computers and mobile gadgets.
The upcoming Firefox Home app for the iPhone uses FF Sync — for secure access to your bookmarks, open tabs and Awesome Bar content — and makes the info available to your iDevice. Firefox Home is not the same as a Firefox mobile web browser, but it does allow you to pick up an internet session started on your computer, and resume it where you left off on your mobile gadget — without starting from scratch.
Though there’s no word yet on when Firefox Home will be available, but Firefox Sync is downloadable now by clicking on this link.
