Did you get your iPad software update 3.2.1?
.
Amid all the hub-bub over the iPhone 4 and the software update released to address inaccurate signal strength display, we almost overlooked the fact that the iPad got a new update too. (Shame on us!) So if you haven’t synced in a while, you may want to hook up iTunes and grab 3.2.1.
From where I stand the list of fixes looks pretty good:
- Improved Wi-Fi connectivity
- Fixed an issue that could prevent copy and paste of single-page PDF attachments in Mail
- Addressed an issue that could cause video playback to freeze
- Improved reliability of video-out when using iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter
- Added Bing as an option for Safari’s search field
Given the wireless connection issues some iPad users have had, it’s good to see Wifi be addressed, among other things. But unfortunately, it also looks like it patches up a back door that Spirit uses, so if you have a jailbroken iPad and want to keep it that way, you may want to avoid this update for now.
For the rest of you (with pristine iPads) — did you get yours yet? Have you noticed any improvement with your wireless connection now? Let us know in the comments.
