Our last Freebie Friday — for now
Awww, it’s so sad. This is our last Freebie Friday. “Why, oh WHYYYY,†you ask, falling on the floor, arms and legs flailing about. (No? Oh, my bad. Sorry to presume… ;-)
Well, first off — we need a little time to accumulate some more fabulous prizes! Second, with the new iPhone announcement that everyone’s been expecting, we want a chance to find out what our favorite companies and developers will be up to for the next-gen handset.
So fear not — these are all good things! And, as I’ve been saying since we started, we’re looking into other opportunities to give away free things here on the site. We don’t know yet if it will take the form of Freebie Fridays or another fun giveaway format, but we’re hashing it out, so definitely stay tuned!
So for our last Freebie Friday in this series, we’ve lined up a truly awesome array of prizes…

The Contest: iPhone Bingo
I was going to write up a round-up post of all the latest rumors/predictions for the Worldwide Developers Conference keynote address, the one Steve Jobs uses every year to announce the new iPhone. I was GOING to do that…
But as I sat there, researching, compiling and even guffawing at a few rumors, I realized something: This would actually make an excellent contest. So here it is, for your prognosticating pleasure…
iPhone Bingo! Okay, it’s not exactly Bingo, but it’s close enough. Here’s how it works: Make a list of all the iPhone or OS 4–related stuff you think Apple will unveil at Monday’s keynote address. Submit it in the comments here or via the TiP Us link above. Once Jobs makes his announcement on Monday, we’ll know how many of those pan out. And the three players who have the most points win! Win what, you ask? Well, some pretty cool stuff:
1) First place: Richard Solo 1800 ($69.95)
This portable battery features 1800 mAh of capacity to juice up your iPhone or iPod, along with an integrated LED flashlight and laser pointer! (Click here for more info.)
.
2) Second place: i-Got-Control remote control ($69.95)
Turn your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad into a remote control! Together with the free app, this turns your iDevice into a learning remote that can handle a TV, cable box, stereo system and more. (For more info, click here.)
.
3) Third place: WallDock by DLO ($29.99)
Cute, compact and super handy for traveling, as well as having a low-profile spare wall jack for your iPod Touch or iPhone.
.
Here are the rules:
•SCORING: +2 points for every right answer, -1 for every wrong answer, so choose wisely!
•YOU CAN ONLY ENTER ONCE: Unlike our other previous contests, I’m going to ask that you submit your entry only once this time. Next week is going to be swamped here at TiP, so we won’t have time to compile multiple answers from various posts, comments or emails. So MAKE IT COUNT! (If you goof, and submit multiple entries, you’ll need to clarify which one is your official submission, otherwise, we’re taking the first one you put in.) Submit your entry by commenting below or sending an email to the TiP Us link at the top of the page.
•DEADLINE is Sunday at 10PM EST!
Good luck, everybody!

NOTE: As I mentioned above, the instructions are “Make a list of all the iPhone or OS 4–related stuff you think Apple will unveil at Monday’s keynote address.” The key word here is UNVEIL. So if you list something that was already previously announced (say, at the iPhone OS4 preview, hmmm?), then the item will get neither positive nor negative points.
