Welcome back to another addition of Jailbreakers Tuesday. If you are just joining us, you will find that this post it meant for jailbreakers everywhere who want to change the appearance of their iPhone or iPod touch. You will find cool apps and tweaks to make your iPhone work better for you than a stock iPhone normally would.

This week I want to show you how to get the most out of your lock screen. Sure, being able to change your wallpaper on the lock screen and getting your iPod player to pop up is cool. But for the most part it is a waste of space. This is where I introduce to you the program “Lockinfo” from the Cydia source ModMyi. ($4.99)

You may be asking yourself “Why should I pay for this?” Simple, with this tweak you will be able to access your calender and email straight from your lock screen. You will also be able to view your notifications, missed calls and text messages. You will be able to do all of this without even unlocking your iPhone. This allows you to quickly view all of this without having to search from page to page.

The email function of this tweak is probably the most valuable aspect of this application. Not only do you get a quick snap shot of each of your new emails, you will also be able to quickly reply to them. Let me show you how this works. Let’s say I get an email from Adrianna and I need to quickly reply to it. I will select the email from the lock screen and I will be able to see the email in full. I will then be able to delete, move to the next email. I can also click “done”, which closes the screen or I can choose reply which will then open up my mail application in the reply screen.

Another nice feature for emails would have to be the fact that I can “X” any new emails that show up as a new email. This will then mark the email as read without having to open the email. There is also a refresh button for your email which allows me to check to see if I have any new emails that may have popped in on my GMail.

With all of this, the one negative to this app would have to be that I can’t move into my IM client without unlocking the screen and opening the application. This is a minor point but I wanted to point out one negative to this app. With that said, one huge positive would have to be the support of this application. I have had three updates since I purchased this tweak for my iPhone.

As you can see the lock screen will no longer be a waste of space. You will be able to customize the layout and any additional information that you want to have displayed on the screen in the settings of LockInfo which you can find under settings.
