Today’s Freebie: TheTalkyOne BT speakerphone, from Novero

We’ve got something special lined up this time around, so check it out:

There are Apple-specific accessories, and then there are general ones compatible with various handsets. Which ones do we focus on here at Today’s iPhone? Well, usually the former, obviously. But once in a while, we stumble upon a general cell phone accessory with a style, quality and design that’s rather… Applesque. (I know it’s not a word, but bear with me here.)

I first discovered Novero when I reviewed TheFirstOne, a bluetooth earbud I covered for PhoneDog.com. The company’s attention to quality and aesthetics just blew me away. So when our friends at Novero said they’d love to participate in our Freebie Friday, I was over the moon.

And what a freebie it is! The company has graciously supplied one of its latest items, TheTalkyOne ($139), to one lucky TiP winner. What is it? A sleek, minimally designed bluetooth speakerphone that is as ridiculously easy to use as it is pretty to view.

When it comes to bluetooth car products, I’m often annoyed by the fiddling required to get them to work. (Aren’t these things supposed to prevent you from having to fiddle with your phone while driving?) To call TTO’s functionality simple would be an understatement. It announces the caller out loud, so you know who’s contacting you without taking your eyes off the road. And you really can’t miss the big, backlit center button. Just hit it to answer a call or rock it back and forth to change volume. It just doesn’t get simpler than that.

And best of all, Novero didn’t skimp on the looks factor. This thing is just a beauty.

Don’t own a car? Don’t worry about it! You can fix it to your desk or computer monitor for a nice-looking desktop speakerphone. And thanks to A2DP support, you can rock your tunes on it too. TTO features a whopping 15 hours of talk time (180 hours of standby), auto-off function and excellent noise reduction and echo cancellation.

(This item is especially handy for people who have multiple devices. Say you have an iPod Touch along with a bluetooth-enabled smartphone — like an iPhone or another handset. TTO has multipoint pairing, so you can connect two different devices!)

TheTalkyOne will go to 1 lucky winner — and we’re having you decide who!

Here’s how to win:

Often, our search for iPhone apps and products leads us to the video-centric world of YouTube. Sure, there are product demos and straight reviews on there. There’s also a wealth of crazy vids surrounding the iPhone. I think one of the funniest is this one, created last year by Owle Bubo as a viral video for marketing. The company glued some fake iPhones to the sidewalk, and then filmed people trying to pick them up.

What about you? Do you have a favorite iPhone-focused viral vid or prank caught on video or still camera? Maybe you shot it. Maybe you’re just passing it on. Either way, we want to see them! Post a link to a video or photo below, or email them to us at the TiP Us link above, by Monday at 6pm EST.

The best of the best will be opened up for reader voting. The contestant with the most votes wins! You can enter as many times as you like to increase your chances (though only one of your entries can qualify). Duplicate entries will be prioritized by whichever participant entered first.

Good luck, everybody! Can’t wait to see those entries!

So sorry for this Loser, just the voices in my head all seem to have different titles, and we all found such interesting videos, but I'm not really sure what Stuffed Up means, sounds painful, so my apologies. ;)

J.K, Omar, Jay, J. I'm so angry at you. Why did you have to give me the name changing syndrome? Now I'm all stuffed up ;)

by the way, LOVED the iphone glued to the ground!!! (brownie points anyone?) :D

This guy paid $120 for a iPhone to find out from Best Buy that it's a fake iPhone! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DxOiCG5n9E
