Up in the air: Discount on inflight wifi
If you travel, you know there’s no cellular data in the air. So checking email on your iPhone or looking up restaurants in your destination city is a no-go — unless, of course, you’ve got GoGo.
The inflight wifi service is available on select flights across several major airlines, including United, US Air, Delta, American Airlines, Continental and others. Prices start at $5 (for 1.5 hrs) up to $13 (for 3 hrs), and more for unlimited plans.
While these aren’t exactly the cheapest rates for connectivity, here’s a little bone that might help:
GoGo is offering a 30 percent off promotion through April 7, 2010. If you’re on a supported flight, connect to GoGo wifi and enter “2trywifi” in the promo code field to knock almost a third off the price.
Then you can kick the money you saved toward an extra snack or cocktail, to make your iPhone surfin’ complete.
